While most solar products target the exploitation of either the sun’s heat or the sun’s light, a new product is looking to do both.
Entech Solar of New Jersey has developed a solar unit that acts as a solar panel while heating a fluid-filled pipe. The heated liquid is then used to warm water displacing the need for a water heater.
The Entech solar devices will be available in a wide variety of sizes ranging from 100 kilowatts to five to 10 megawatts. Targeting primarily industrial customers the units measure 12 feet long and can be produced relatively cheaply.
