If you went just ten years back in time to show solar power developers the kind of chargers that would be available in just ten short years, you would blow their science-loving minds. The SUNLINQ USB mini and plus solar chargers were made to charge most cell phones, including your Blackberry or iPhones, ipods, digital cameras and other USB-charging gadgets.

The SUNLINQ 12W was created to power up your 12v devices, using the intense power of our amazing sun. These solar chargers can easily roll up for simple transport and carry-with abilities, so you can take them camping or hiking. Since they are so compact and easy to carry, you can throw them in a backpack or a briefcase if you want to be more fancy.

This is one of the best solar chargers you can get for under $150.00 – and it’s received a lot of positive reviews from outdoors enthusiasts and tech-savvy folks as well.

This Samsonite Solar Laptop Messenger is an awesome looking solar powered bag that can recharge the batteries of small electronic devices by exposing the bag to about four hours of direct sunlight. All the power you’ll need comes from the 12v adapter stored neatly and efficiently inside the front panel with an output of approximately 4.5 watts. This high tech bag is tough and durable as it is reinforced by the bag’s construction, which is comprised of 450 Denier recycled PET fabric.

This super cool solar item was designed by Novothink. It is designed as a wraparound case with a solar panel on the back, and apparently it generates enough power to charge your iPhone touch units using only the power of the sun’s rays. This guarantees continuous music in the car, while you are out on a run, at the gym, or anywhere else where you might be that isn’t anywhere near a plug-in power supply. Aside from having a slick, beautiful design, the Surge also boasts state-of-the-art solar panel technology which allows your iPhone 3G and 3G S to charge as well.

We haven’t tried out this gadget yet, but if you have, let us know what you think! Write your Surge Hybrid Solar iPhone Charger review in the comments below and let us know!

We found this well-designed solar charger, called the i101 series from iceTECH USA, while we were researching the best solar chargers for USB devices. The iceTech can juice up 99% of all mobile phones or USB interface digital products which have operational voltage of 3.5-5 volts. The Solar battery itself can be charged two ways: 1. using direct sunlight or 2. plugging it directly into an electrical outlet.

Once the Solar battery is charged you can use it to charge other devices such as your cell phone or any iPod. It will charge them at the same time frame as your conventional charger. You can also charge your device when you are out (say, at the beach or the park) by plugging it into the battery and leaving the battery under direct sunlight.

Not yet. But USA Solar and Digital Communications Technologies, aka Muzatch, has developed the iphone’s first ever solar battery charger. The charger, which weighs just under 10 ounces, will provide up to 2000 separate charges for your iPhone. Apparently this solar charger is strong enough that it could last for four consecutive years if it was continuously used.

This new charger could be convenient for iPhone users as it eliminates the concerns of ever running out of power. At least as long as the sun exists. The new solar charger is available through Muzatch’s website for a price of $49.95 plus shipping and handling.
