The band Cake hired Borrego Solar Systems, a company with 25 years experience in executing solar photovoltaic projects, to install solar panels on their recording studio in Sacramento.

This will provide 100% solar energy for their next album. Currently untitled, John McCrea describes the album’s sound as “very different” from previous Cake records, also indicating that he will be playing piano much more than usual. The album will be released on Upbeat Records.
