If you’re thinking about finally switching out your regular light bulbs for something more environmentally friendly, LED light bulbs might be just the ticket.
LED (light emitting diode) light bulbs use only 3-7 watts, while fluorescent bulbs use 20-35 watts per bulb. A regular 100-watt bulb can use as much as $20 a month, if left on all the time, while LED bulbs require almost no power to operate.
The cost of LED lighting is a little more up front, but can save you a bundle in the long-run, lasting longer and saving up to $20 monthly. LED’s range from around $6 for night lights and $30 for standard bulbs.
